Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing support lab, preferably in coatings or polymers.
  • Knowledge of aerospace business/ASD is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret policies and apply them correctly.

Job description

Quality Control Technician - 1st

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all established safety rules and procedures.
  • Demonstrate integrity while performing duties in accordance with the company's Code of Conduct.
  • Perform complex testing processes on production batches to measure physical or chemical characteristics, including viscosity, weight, flow, gloss, and color, using sophisticated testing instruments.
  • Collect and analyze data from ERP systems and inspection plans to identify issues.
  • Communicate the status of internal issues to stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying potential causes of complaints and participate in root cause investigations.
  • Collaborate with QA colleagues to optimize and standardize inspection methods of finished products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science (chemistry, physics, or related field) preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing support lab, preferably in coatings or polymers.
  • Knowledge of aerospace business/ASD is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret policies and guidance documents and apply them correctly.
  • Identify procedural gaps and product risks, and recommend contingency plans and strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.

Skills

  • Analytical skills and proficiency with SAP ERP, MS Office, and lab equipment.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with physical testing and coatings application.
  • Team player with good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Mathematical proficiency related to quality analysis.

Abilities

  • Ability to work 8 hours standing, lift up to 50 lbs, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform tasks safely using PPE.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and make quick, accurate decisions.
  • Effective time management to meet deadlines.
