Job Summary:

The Quality Control (QC) Technician will perform laboratory activities such as reagent preparation, tissue culture, equipment maintenance, sample receipt and disposal, inventory management, and reagent ordering. With adequate experience and training, the role also involves performing QC testing using established methods.

This position is based in our Milton Park location with a typical 5-day on-site expectation.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

• Support the daily operation of the QC laboratories.
• Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment as per SOPs.
• Manage receipt and inventory of QC samples and materials.
• Prepare laboratory reagents as required.
• Maintain cell lines through revival and passaging at set intervals.
• Verify data for GMP documents.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks in the lab.

Other Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance of laboratory equipment with external contractors and departments.
• Support activities in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics, English, or a science subject.

Required Experience:

• A self-motivated individual with good time management and organizational skills.
• A team player willing to adapt quickly.
• Computer literacy, including MS Word and Excel.
