Job summary

Axalta seeks a Chemist to support filler development in our Wellingborough lab. You will prepare, test and evaluate filler formulations, recording results and communicating findings to the manager using Word, Excel and SharePoint. Safety, 5S practices and teamwork with chemists and technicians are essential.

You will apply chemistry and coating formulation knowledge, maintain lab organisation, and contribute to multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related field preferred.
• Chemistry and/or coating formulation knowledge required.
• Laboratory experience and/or training.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe all safety requirements in the workplace.
• Prepare and evaluate Filler formulations.
• Accurately run and record test results for formulations.
• Interpret testing data and communicate results to the Manager using MS Office.
• Document experimental results using Word, Excel and SharePoint.
