Job description

We’re looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to join and lead our expanding Quality Control Department. This is a critical role at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every part we manufacture, assess, or procure is built to win – and built to last.

As the Quality Control Supervisor, you will take ownership of the inspection process across key projects, components, and assemblies. Working with both in-house teams and external suppliers, you’ll ensure that quality is never compromised, from initial receipt through to final fitment on our competition cars.

The role responsibilities include:

1. Carry out detailed inspection of precision components using tools like CMM, manual gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
2. Inspect complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and geometric tolerances (GD&T).
3. Approve or reject components based on motorsport quality standards.
4. Lead root cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Maintain inspection reports and contribute to quality documentation and traceability.
6. Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
7. Support audits, supplier assessments, and first article inspections (FAI).
8. Provide feedback to Department Heads regarding quality outcomes.
9. Train and mentor Junior Inspectors to ensure best practices and future development.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We seek a self-motivated team player with a positive attitude, ideally with:

• Proven experience in a senior or lead inspection role within motorsport, aerospace, or precision engineering.
• Deep understanding of high-performance manufacturing standards and tolerances.
• Hands-on experience with CMM (manual and programmable) and conventional inspection tools.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Skilled in multitasking and working under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with carbon fibre, composites, and high-performance alloys.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and digital quality tools.
