Job description

Total Staff Services are recruiting QC Release Officers for our Client based in Runcorn.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the QC Shift Team Leader, the QC Release Officer is responsible for performing duties related to product release, ensuring compliance with quality systems, cGMP, and ISO standards.

Main Accountabilities
  • Review batch documentation to assess product compliance with specifications.
  • Determine product disposition: release to market, internal use, or rejection.
  • Support investigations of non-conformities affecting release, quality, or compliance.
  • Contribute to team KPIs for QC efficiency and OTIF related to product release.
  • Assist in continuous improvement of the quality system to meet departmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Compile Certificates of Conformance as required for client responsibilities.
  • Operate QA databases to document events and support trend analysis.
  • Interface with other departments, including attending meetings, to ensure QMS requirements are met.
  • Perform additional duties to support colleagues in their roles.
  • Ensure outsourced products are processed timely and available for use, with transactions performed on SAP.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Degree in a life science or relevant experience in QA/QC within pharmaceutical/healthcare industries.
  • Experience in aseptic operations is desirable, preferably with aseptic compounding.
  • Good knowledge of GMP requirements for aseptically produced products, as per the Orange Guide.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, rotating weekly shifts.
