Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd is recruiting for a part-time Quality Control Assistant in Crewe. The role focuses on routine QC testing, recording results, and maintaining lab documentation to meet strict quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a chemistry background with hands-on laboratory experience and strong attention to detail. The position offers 12 hours per week (10:00am–2:00pm, three days) at £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Practical laboratory experience.
• Basic knowledge of chemical handling and laboratory safety.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine quality control testing and inspections.
• Prepare, handle and test chemical samples in line with established laboratory procedures.
• Accurately record test results and maintain laboratory documentation.
• Ensure all testing is completed within required timescales.
• Assist with investigating quality-related issues when required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe laboratory environment.
• Comply with all health, safety and quality standards.
• Work independently while supporting the wider Quality and Production teams.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Assistant to join their Quality team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a chemistry background and practical laboratory experience who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

The successful candidate will support routine quality control activities, ensuring products meet the required specifications while maintaining accurate records and adhering to laboratory and company procedures.
