Job summary

Proman is seeking a QC Technician to join a busy quality team in a packaging manufacturing environment. The role focuses on quality control inspections, testing materials and finished products, and maintaining accurate records.

Ideal candidates will have experience in quality/manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of GMP standards. The position is temporary with potential to become permanent, paying £13 per hour with shifts 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a quality control role within manufacturing.
  • Good GMP knowledge and adherence to procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication and numeracy.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out quality control checks on incoming materials and finished products.
  • Confirm the identity and condition of incoming materials.
  • Sample and test incoming materials in line with raw material specifications.
  • Record and maintain accurate quality control documentation and test results.
  • Ensure all materials are correctly status-labelled and identified.
  • Disposition and status-label returned or non-conforming materials.
  • Support environmental monitoring activities and sample collection procedures.
  • Maintain and update supplier and quality control databases.
  • Assist with periodic material retesting where required.
  • Work closely with QA and production teams to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Identify and escalation quality concerns in line with company procedures.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a QC Technician to join a busy quality team within a packaging manufacturing environment. This role would suit someone with strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and previous experience within a quality or manufacturing environmentis essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out quality control inspections, testing materials and finished products, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with company procedures and GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out quality control checks on incoming materials and finished products
  • Confirm the identity and condition of incoming materials
  • Sample and test incoming materials in line with raw material specifications
  • Record and maintain accurate quality control documentation and test results
  • Ensure all materials are correctly status-labelled and identified

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a quality control and a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Good understanding of GMP standards and quality procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident using computer systems and databases
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good numeracy and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

Qualifications & Experience

  • Good general education including GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience within a quality and manufacturing role
