We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Quality Control Officer to oversee our quality control processes, ensuring that our products consistently meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is essential for maintaining compliance with industry regulations, particularly adhering to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) principles. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a commitment to continuous improvement within our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all products meet the following criteria:

• Food safety
• Hygiene across all production and external areas
• Monitor, evaluate, and enhance product and process quality while identifying areas for improvement
• Conduct compliance checks to uphold company quality procedures
• Ensure full traceability of raw materials and packaging through regular intake report reviews
• Perform goods-in inspections, reporting and rejecting substandard raw materials
• Report non-conformances promptly to minimize defects and corrective actions
• Support the implementation of quality systems, including manuals, policies, and procedures
• Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring staff adherence to quality standards
• Conduct regular audits of Critical Control Points (CCPs)
• Uphold health & safety policies, contributing to an enhanced safety culture
• Perform GMP audits, glass/plastic audits, and coordinate routine microbiology, environmental, and hygiene tests
• Carry out hygiene audits, report findings, and follow up on corrective actions
• Foster effective communication across departments and with customers
• Initiate and oversee corrective action programs to address audit findings
• Ensure compliance with the allergen management program
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Planning & Procedures

• Adopt a continuous improvement approach to all aspects of the role
• Identify and report gaps in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and traceability systems
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and gather relevant information
• At least two years' experience in a quality assurance role within the food industry
• Strong team player with leadership abilities and excellent interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrates presence, authority, and professionalism
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
• Holds a Quality Auditing qualification
• Capable of working independently and meeting deadlines
