Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWilcox develops innovative, world class electro-mechanical combat systems for today’s warfighters and law enforcement officers. The Quality Group is responsible for the Company’s Quality Management System. As a member of the Quality Group this individual is responsible for the inspection and testing of products manufactured or purchased by Wilcox for the end user.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Enforce the Quality Management Systems.
• Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products.
• Inspects materials, parts and products at different stages of production.
• Reads blueprints
• Understands Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GT&D).
• Measures instruments such as: Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Micro-Hite, Optical Comparator, Hardness Tester, etc.
• Maintains and calibrates measuring and test equipment.
• Applies statistical process control.
• Handles nonconforming products.
• Collects and retains Quality Records.
• Communicates with internal parties on matters relating to the Quality System and ISO 9000 certification

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience:

• 2-5 Years Experience in a high paced Quality Role , manufacturing experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Regular on-site attendance is a necessary function of this position.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear; use hands and fingers to handle and touch objects, tools, or controls to work in a production environment. Vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, vision, and the ability to adjust focus to work. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
• Ability to perform physical tests and handle tools/equipment used for prototyping.
