Job Summary

This position has overall responsibility for the contractor's quality control management program, including maintaining and overseeing the quality control management program for the entire contract. The position is located in Portsmouth, VA.

Primary Job Functions

  • Administer the quality control management program
  • Responsible for the overall quality assurance program
  • Monitor and inspect all delivery orders for compliance
  • Maintain records of inspections and certifications
  • Prepare monthly reports on quality inspections
  • Review the quality control program periodically for compliance
  • Examine processes for preventative and corrective maintenance and suggest improvements
  • Perform inspections and re-inspections to ensure issues are resolved
  • Collect data for the DMLSS system entry by the Government
  • Research safety and quality topics online
  • Prepare incident and accident reports as needed
  • Prepare training materials and conduct employee quality and safety meetings as required
  • Manage the disposal of hazardous waste
  • Research and issue infection control and Life Safety permits
  • Train personnel on material control and equipment management
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Certification

Education Level

  • Associate Degree or related field

Years of Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management programs on similar contracts
  • Experience working on DHA or USACE projects in active military medical facilities

Licenses/Certifications

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • USACE CQMC Certification
  • First Aid/CPR Certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and PPE procedures
  • Ability to conduct accident investigations and safety inspections
  • Strong communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the 3-Phases of Control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-up)
  • Proficiency in RMS, Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of RFID control and planning for government record keeping

Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 10% travel from the base location
