Job description

Mercury Electronics has a challenging opportunity available for a talented, enthusiastic, and motivated Quality Manager. We are seeking an outgoing individual, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in our fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position will report directly to the President. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate and correct customer service issues and complaints relating to quality.
  • Develop and analyze statistical data and production specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability expectations of finished products.
  • Design, develop, and implement quality control training programs.
  • Participate in Material Review Board activities as needed.
  • Provide and oversee inspection activities throughout the production cycle.
  • Create, document, and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Review pre-production shop orders and drawings for quality control issues.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Candidate qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Minimum of 2 years in Manufacturing Quality or a similar discipline.
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external contacts at all organizational levels.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize work.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience with the following is required:
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, & PowerPoint)
  • Experience with the following, but not required:
    • Electrical or electronic components
    • filePro databases or Epicor ERP
    • LEAN and ITAR
    • AS9100 and ISO9001
  • Candidates must have the ability to occasionally work extended hours.
