Job summary

New Appointments Group is recruiting a Quality Control Engineer for a well-established manufacturing business within the construction sector. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will ensure all products, materials and processes meet company and regulatory standards across quality, health & safety, and environmental requirements.

This role also involves supporting the day-to-day management of the QC team, including technicians and inspectors, ensuring all testing and inspection

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in quality roles within manufacturing or a laboratory environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• High attention to detail with strong communication and reporting skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Carry out technical validation of products, raw materials, and components
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Deputise for the Quality Control Manager when required
• Analyse data to identify trends, issues, and improvements
• Create and maintain inspection procedures and testing documentation
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
• Ensure all testing equipment is maintained and calibrated
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the quality lab (5S)
• Manage workload, performance, and task allocation within the QC team
• Ensure incidents and non-conformances are reported correctly
