Job summary

INDMAN in Romford seeks a Night Shift Quality Control Inspector to ensure product conformance to engineering drawings, QMS procedures and customer requirements. You will inspect parts and assemblies, maintain auditable records and support Production with timely verification of batch first-offs.

The role offers a £45k annual salary and a night shift from 17:00 to 03:15, Monday to Thursday, with benefits including healthcare, pension, life assurance, holidays and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Experience with inspection gauges, measuring equipment, and CMM operation.
• Ability to interpret technical data, drawings, specifications, and FAIR documentation.
• Goods inward inspection experience with finished products/components.
• Precision component inspection ensuring drawing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Verify conformity of parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, the QMS, and customer requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive, auditable inspection records.
• Support Production with timely verification of batch first-offs.
• Create and compile First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Perform inspection duties across all areas of manufacturing and supply chain processes as needed.
• Identify and report non-conformances in line with company procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and HSE policies at all times.
• Highlight and elevate quality concerns to Production Management and Quality Engineering.
• Support problem-solving, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.

Night Shift Quality Control Inspector

Location: Romford
Salary: £45k per annum
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 17:00 - 03:15

We are seeking a Night Shift Quality Control Inspector to join our Quality Control inspection department. This role ensures product compliance with manufacturing procedures, engineering drawings, and customer requirements.

• Knowledge of imperial and metric geometrical definitions
• Familiarity with industry and quality standards
• ERP/MRP systems experience (Javelin preferred)
• Awareness of MSA, NDT, SPC, and ISO/ASME standards
• Aerospace industry experience preferred
