The Role

As the Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting products at various stages of production, identifying defects, and collaborating with the production team to address quality issues. You will play a crucial role in maintaining product quality and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Carry out inspection on incoming goods (including batch sampling) and outgoing goods.
2. Witness production and third-party tests, workstation audits.
3. Document quality issues, raise non-conformances and other concerns.
4. Communicate with suppliers when investigating supplier quality issues and address in a timely manner, proactively and professionally engaging production, and engineering as required.
5. Investigate product quality incidents and customer complaints and ensure corrective action follow up.
6. Actively engage in contributing and promoting a positive HSE&S culture to deliver performance, improvements and continually reduce risk, eliminate hazards where possible and preventing injury or ill health.
7. Any other duties as and when required.

Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience

1. Proven inspection/ workshop experience utilising tools such as CMM, micrometers, verniers etc.
2. Ability to interpret mechanical and /or electrical drawings.
3. Good knowledge of quality standards and practices.
4. Understanding of MRP Systems (Glovia)- desirable but not essential.
5. Understanding and experience of Quality Management Software systems.
6. Aware of how QC interacts with ISO 9001.
7. Proficient IT skills including knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
8. Excellent planning and work scheduling.
9. Aware of certification and documentation requirements (ISO 10204) – proficiency desirable.
10. Good communication skills and ability to interact at all levels.
11. Ability to work on your own and to specified timescales and project plans.
12. Time management skills and ability to deliver to prioritised deadlines.
13. Excellent attention to detail.
14. Proactive approach to work.
