Job summary

Score Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join the QHSE Department. Appointed by the QHSE Manager, you will help ensure products meet drawings and specifications and that all work complies with company policies and standards.

You will perform in-process and final inspections, review client requirements, manage non-conforming items, maintain quality records, and support supplier non-conformances.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 (essential).
  • Experience in using measuring equipment (essential).
  • Review of technical drawings and specifications (essential).
  • Computer literate (essential).
  • Familiar with pressure / flow measurement (desirable).
  • Knowledge of AS9100 (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
  • Ensuring all activities undertaken are in compliance with the SEL ISO9001, AS9100, ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001 Management Systems.
  • Provide support to all disciplines within the Company’s organisation.
  • Physical inspection of new manufacture product to ensure compliance to drawings
  • Review of client quality requirements/specifications/drawings to ensure compliance.
  • Quality control surveillance.
  • Control of quality records.
  • Control of non-conforming product.
  • Assisting with the processing of supplier non-conformances.
  • Inspection of purchased certified goods to ensure compliance with the purchase order content and certification requirements.
  • Final inspection of new manufacture product to ensure ready to dispatch
  • Perform in process audits.
  • Review of completed job packs prior to dispatch to ensure that Score and customer requirements are satisfied.
  • Undertake internal and external training to ensure job performance competency.
  • Adherence to company requirements in respect to health, safety and environmental aspects.
  • Provide assistance in the continuous improvement of the company’s QHSE management systems
  • Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Position Description:

Appointed by the QHSE Manager, the Quality Control Inspector is a member of the QHSE Department reporting to the QHSE Team Leader.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:


Skills & Behaviours:

  • Must be an effective communicator, particularly in producing written reports.
  • Requires ability to interpret work processes / job histories and make informed judgements.
  • Must be able to work on your own following training.
  • Able to work with and train apprentices.
  • Must have the capability to become product familiar.


Experience:

Strong knowledge of management system standard ISO 9001 (essential).


Experience in the use of measuring equipment (essential).


Review of technical drawings and specifications (essential).


Computer literate (essential).


Familiar with pressure / flow measurement (desirable).


Knowledge of AS9100 (desirable)
