Job Description

PE Global is recruiting a Quality Control Inspector for our oil and gas client based in Inverurie. The role is an initial 6-month contract and if the candidate is successful will become permanent. The rate for this role is £17.26 p/h PAYE.

Rotating day/night shift:

  1. 1st 1 to 2 months will be day shift only, after rotating every 2 weeks.
  2. Day shift: Mon-Thu 07.30-15.30, Fri 07.30-14.30
  3. Night shift: Mon-Wed 19.00-05.30 & Thu 19.00-04.30
  4. Night Shift Allowance: basic rate x 1/3.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and report Quality Assurance and Quality Control aspects of required work scope package(s).
  2. Control and ensure the accuracy of all project documentation related to API 6A.
  3. Control and ensure the accuracy of all required component parts.
  4. Completion of various inspection and quality reports.
  5. Mechanical and inspection report completion to the required standard.
  6. Ensure the traceability of all parts required and documentation trail are in place.
  7. Record and document traceable information which will be required to certify the manufacturing process, to the highest standards.
  8. Documentation: verify that all is present and is correct.
  9. To interpret API standards and client requirements to ensure the relevant standards are met in relation to the product.
  10. Identify engineering faults and process inputs throughout key stages of component manufacture, from order acknowledgement to final inspection.
  11. Recommend adjustments to the process.

Requirements:

  1. Essential: Machine shop inspection experience (small 2 min demo required during interview).
  2. Able to understand, evaluate and apply technical information.
  3. Has solutions and suggestions that are effective in addressing the problem at hand.
  4. Able to adeptly learn the context of a challenge and quickly integrate new skills.
  5. Confident and professional when representing the company in person and in writing.
