Quality Control Inspector - FTC (6 months)
Business Need / Purpose of Role:
Responsible for performing various inspection tasks within the Company under the instruction of the Inspection Team Leader, working collaboratively to ensure conformance to Company standards, specifications, and drawings.
Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities
Primary Tasks
- Inspect products and processes related to all aspects of quality control within the Company.
- Ensure products and processes conform to relevant specifications and standards; maintain accurate documentation promptly as per Company requirements.
- Conduct timely inspections and generate dimensional reports where applicable.
- Raise non-conformance reports for items or processes that do not meet standards or specifications/drawings.
- Utilize recognized quality control measuring techniques and equipment to ensure products meet standards.
- Maintain good housekeeping in all inspection areas.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the inspection team under guidance from the Inspection Team Leader or UK QHSE Lead.
- Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated before use.
- Provide timely and effective status updates as required.
- Perform additional duties as reasonably requested by the Inspection Lead or UK QHSE Lead to meet team and customer expectations.

Education and Experience:
- Time Server Apprentice with engineering qualification (preferably ONC, HNC, or equivalent).
- Desirable: Qualification in DPI, MPI, UT.
- Desirable: Experience in PMI, Ferrite & Hardness Testing.
- High standards of quality, safety culture, and knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 are desirable.
- Proficient with inspection/measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, thread gauges, and hardness testers.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (component and assembly).
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (manual & CNC) and Inspection Arms is desirable.
- Knowledge of materials certification.
