Quality Control Inspector

Location: Crewkerne, Somerset

Salary: £28,000 Per Annum + Benefits

We at Jackie Kerr Recruitment are excited to support a successful manufacturing company serving sectors including Aerospace, Automotive, and Fluid Control. The company is privately owned and has been established for 40 years.

Role: Quality Control Inspector

Opportunity for a motivated Quality Control Inspector to join the Quality Team, supporting business growth and continuous improvement. The role involves inspecting incoming materials, parts, and supply chain components used in manufacturing miniature power transmission and control products. Responsibilities include documenting inspection results and maintaining quality data records.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely delivery of quality control functions as part of a customer-oriented organization.
  • Carry out inspections using various metrology tools, including CMM, against internal and customer requirements.
  • Participate in investigations of product non-conformities, supporting containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to meet quality expectations and document compliance.
  • Support other quality functions such as calibration, ISIR, and audits.
  • Assist the Head of Quality with continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain a flexible attitude towards tasks and duties.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Experience in quality within a manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical/electronic skills are advantageous.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and use measurement tools.
