Our manufacturing site in Ashford is home to engineers, scientists, technicians, and product developers. It is the starting point of the UK&I supply chain, where raw materials are weighed and mixed, and products are filled and packed. Coty Ashford produces coloured cosmetics for global brands like Gucci, Burberry, Rimmel, Max Factor, and Bourjois. Responsibilities

The Quality Control Chemist supports the Analytical and Bulk Quality Control laboratories by testing and releasing Raw materials and Bulk products. The laboratories utilize techniques like titrations, GC, pH, water content analysis, chromatography, viscosity, rheology, sensory assessment, and spectrophotometry. The QC Chemist also supports factory operations with resolving quality issues, all within GMP, GLP, ISO 22716, and safety standards.

Your main focus includes:

• Following analytical methods to test materials and products against specifications, adhering to quality standards and regulations.
• Resolving quality issues through cross-functional collaboration.
• Prioritizing workload and managing timely releases.
• Managing inventory, including handling block stock and expired materials.
• Maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You Are a Coty Fit

You enjoy teamwork, supporting investigations, and have a passion for quality. You should have:

• A degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry, or relevant field.
• Experience in industries like FMCG, production, pharmaceutical, paint, or food.
• Laboratory experience with analytical techniques.
• Troubleshooting skills; chromatography experience is an advantage.
• An open mind for diversity and teamwork.
• Ability to handle challenges and maintain a positive attitude.
• Strong project management and multitasking skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
