Job description

A long-established and successful metal forming company based in Willenhall, West Midlands, is seeking a Quality Control Apprentice to join its busy workforce. The recent refurbishment has made this the most modern facility in the UK, offering extensive in-house services to clients.

In addition to an hourly rate of GBP 11.44 - GBP 12.21, you will receive 33 days holiday per annum (including Bank Holidays), to be taken during factory shutdown.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday, 08:00-16:30, and Friday, 08:00-15:30.

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Apprentice:
  1. Manufacturing parts to high quality standards within short lead times.
  2. Setting and monitoring production controls according to the Business Operating System.
  3. Participating in and assisting with pre-production reviews.
  4. Monitoring and measuring sample production prior to volume manufacturing.
  5. Assisting in completing customer-specific Initial Sample Review Reports (ISIR).
  6. Where applicable, assisting with First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) or customer-dependent Part Submission Warranty Reports.
  7. Monitoring raw material condition during production and contamination containment.
  8. Following training, actively participating in internal audits and providing feedback on deviations from the Business Operating System.
  9. Assisting the Quality Manager in preparation for external accreditation audits.

Training will be provided across all production and non-production areas to develop a multi-skilled individual.
