Quality Control Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Control Analyst to join a leading company in the chemical industry.

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Based in Milton Keynes and working as a key member of the Production Team, the Quality Control Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and titration techniques, along with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct QC analysis of in-process and finished product samples in line with specifications/methods
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the QC laboratory instrumentation required for testing
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the department
  • Calibration and maintenance of instruments
  • Prepare lab reagents and standards according to quality procedures
  • Train operators on analytical methods and record appropriately
  • Ensure all records, procedures, and work instructions are maintained and filed
  • Investigate non-conforming products and customer complaints related to quality
What They’re Looking For
MUST HAVE
  • Degree-level knowledge in Chemistry or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
DESIRABLE
  • Knowledge of Quality Management standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 12776, and BRC
  • Experience in the chemical or chemical distribution industry
  • Experience working in a Food/Cosmetic FMC environment
  • Experience conducting internal audits
