Quality Control Administrator

Location: Warehouse - Taiko Acton, London

Contract: Full Time

Salary: £27,000

Hours: 40 hours/week

Established in 1997, Taiko is a leading UK manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals, and Snacking products, supplying major retailers such as Waitrose, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s. Over the past 25 years, Taiko has pioneered many first-to-market products in the UK.

Role Overview: As the Warehouse Quality Control Administrator, you will oversee quality control processes within our warehouse. Responsibilities include inspecting incoming and outgoing products, monitoring storage conditions, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and experience in food safety and warehouse operations.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of warehouse operations, products, and procedures
  • Reliable, flexible, and punctual
  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Numerical aptitude and attention to detail

Work Schedule: Due to expansion, we are hiring QC Administrators to work on a rolling rota, 7 days a week, 5pm to 1am, with additional shift allowances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect goods-in for quality and quantity, rejecting items that do not meet safety standards
  • Ensure raw materials and packaging meet specifications and are stored correctly
  • Monitor storage conditions and ensure FIFO procedures are followed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and test records
  • Coordinate with the Technical Department for record review
  • Verify delivery notes and record stock movements accurately in systems like Miniclipper and Transkold
  • Provide batch and best-before dates for stock labeling
  • Ensure proper labeling and transfer of stock to production, reporting shortages as needed
  • Assist warehouse staff and cover for the Warehouse Systems Controller when required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas
