Job summary

UK Management College Ltd seeks a proactive Quality and Compliance Officer to drive compliance, governance and risk management across the organisation from Sunderland. You will oversee compliance systems, contribute to audits and be a key liaison for regulatory submissions.

The role requires collaboration across teams, reporting to the Compliance Manager, and a commitment to continuous improvement in regulatory practices and business continuity.

Qualifications

• Degree (2:1 or higher) or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of compliance, risk management and governance.
• Knowledge of project management approaches (PRINCE2, Agile, or similar).
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team or matrix environment.
• Experience managing administrative or reporting processes with strong attention to detail.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation and monitoring of compliance frameworks and policies.
• Maintain accurate records and evidence of regulatory and organisational compliance.
• Assist with regulatory submissions (including OfS when applicable) and deadlines.
• Support internal audits, reviews and risk assessments to identify gaps and improvements.
• Assist governance structures and servicing of committees and meetings.
• Manage systems (e.g. SharePoint) for storing and reporting compliance documentation.
• Produce clear reports highlighting findings, risks and themes.
• Apply project management approaches to support compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with academic and professional services teams to promote a culture of compliance.
• Communicate regulatory information clearly to non-specialist audiences.
• Support delivery of projects to meet deadlines and represent the department in meetings.
