A leading UK manufacturer in Dunstable is seeking a Quality & Compliance Manager to drive quality excellence and embed key standards across the site. This hands-on leadership role involves owning ISO certifications, leading audits, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has experience in BRC manufacturing, a solid operational management background, and a passion for quality and safety. The position offers a competitive salary of up to £55,000 plus bonus, along with excellent company benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Own and embed ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 & BRCGS standards.
  • Command the room during internal/external audits.
  • Lead risk assessments and bring proactive safety to life.
  • Use data (DPMO, SRI, WTL) to spotlight issues.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma to challenge the status quo.
  • Lead a tight-knit squad (QA, PQC, H&S).

What You'll Be Leading

  • Quality Excellence: Own and embed ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 & BRCGS standards across the site
  • Audit Leadership: Command the room during internal/external audits - your prep, your process, your win
  • HSE Ownership: Lead risk assessments, RIDDOR reporting, and bring proactive safety to life
  • KPI Obsessed: Use data (DPMO, SRI, WTL) to spotlight issues and lead powerful improvements
  • CI Driver: Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and your own creative spark to challenge the status quo
  • Team Empowerment: Lead a tight-knit squad (QA, PQC, H&S) and elevate performance across departments

What You Bring to the Table

Essential:

  • Strong knowledge and experience with ISO 9001, BRCGS.
  • Demonstrated experience leading audits in a BRC manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading and developing teams (including H&S and QA).
  • Solid experience in a senior operational management position.

Desirable:

  • Six Sigma (Green Belt or above)
  • Plastics or packaging manufacturing background
  • Experience delivering environmental initiatives and waste reduction strategies
  • HACCP working knowledge
  • NEBOSH qualified
