Job summary

A leading manufacturing support firm in Glasgow is seeking a Quality Compliance Lead. In this pivotal role, you'll maintain the Quality Management System while supporting food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in quality roles within food manufacturing, be HACCP trained, and possess excellent communication skills to build cross-departmental relationships.

Qualifications

  • HACCP and internal audit trained.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure follow-up actions.

Escape Recruitment is supporting a leading manufacturer in their search for a Quality Compliance Lead. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that prioritises product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining and enhancing the site's Quality Management System (QMS), supporting the wider team in upholding food safety and certification standards. The ideal candidate will be methodical, highly organised, and confident in leading internal and external audit activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring follow-up actions are effectively implemented

Support the development and maintenance of QMS processes and documentation

Act as a point of contact for certification bodies and customer audits

Lead quality investigations and ensure appropriate corrective/preventative actions are taken

Ensure compliance with HACCP, TACCP and VACCP across the site

Manage compliance reporting and assist with management review processes

Oversee the calibration of key quality equipment and water testing plans

Maintain the electronic quality system and provide support to users

Deliver training and guidance on compliance and quality standards

What We're Looking For:

Strong experience in a quality or compliance-based role within food manufacturing or a similar regulated environment

HACCP and internal audit trained

Confident communicator, able to work across departments and build relationships at all levels

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of QMS software (e.g. Q-Pulse or similar)

Strong organisational skills with a detail-focused, proactive approach
