Job summary

Quality Compliance Lead

Glasgow - Permanent

Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturing business to recruit a Quality Compliance Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement projects supporting QMS and food safety culture.
  • Maintain and develop QMS processes and documentation.
  • Manage internal and external audit programmes, ensuring audit readiness.
  • Act as lead contact during customer and certification audits.
  • Provide operational teams with compliance guidance and audit preparation support.
  • Maintain quality compliance reports and manage non-conformance tracking.
  • Ensure HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP plans are current and reviewed regularly.
  • Support and deliver quality training across the business.
  • Oversee Q-Pulse system development and provide user support.
  • Ensure quality monitoring equipment is calibrated and water testing plans are up to date.
  • Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support customer compliance data requests.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified or equivalent in a scientific or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a compliance leadership role within manufacturing (ideally food/drink).
  • Strong working knowledge of food safety standards and QMS.
  • HACCP and Internal Audit trained.
  • Experienced in cross-functional project work.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel), and ideally SAP.
  • Organised, methodical, and able to prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Scotch whisky industry knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
