£44,465 - £50,096 per annum

Main duties of the job
  1. You will be responsible for driving a culture of quality improvement across the Hospice teams.
  2. You will provide clinical leadership to ensure the clinical teams meet relevant care, environments and health and safety standards.
  3. You will report into the Head of clinical services and deputise for them in their absence.

We provide expert palliative care at a time when people need this the most.

We support you when you are living with a life-limiting condition, and also help your loved ones and family.

We support people aged 18 and over who are living with life-limiting conditions such as cancer, heart failure and lung disease by combining specialist medical care for managing pain and other symptoms with other emotional, practical and spiritual support.

We are able to provide care in our inpatient unit and our CNS team are on hand to visit people and provide care for people in their own home.

Job responsibilities

This role is responsible for ensuring that the services commit to a Quality Improvement Culture and adhere to statutory regulations incorporating best practice and national guidelines. You will produce regular reports demonstrating service quality, clinical outcomes, measures, and statutory compliance.

To develop and strengthen our management approach and understanding of governance and compliance in delivering outstanding care.

To lead the development, maintenance, and communication of governance and compliance policies, supporting departmental implementation and ongoing compliance.

Advise, maintain, and develop the service's compliance with CQC regulations regarding legislation and best practice. Actively engage with patients and service users to monitor outcomes and satisfaction.

Person Specification

Qualifications - Essential:

  • Registered clinical practitioner (NMC/HCPC registered)
  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent experience/supporting professional development

Qualifications - Desirable:

  • Clinical or risk management qualification
  • Professional qualifications in quality, project management, or governance
  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in a senior specialist role
  • Experience in quality governance, clinical audit/risk, and incident management
  • Experience in palliative care setting
