Job Title: Quality Auditor (QA) (Evening shift)
Company: Northern Bloc Ltd.
This is a critical role within a fast-growing business that will be responsible for helping to implement and uphold all aspects of the site’s food safety and quality management system. This role reports directly into the Technical Manager.

We are currently looking for a meticulous and experienced Quality Auditor to join our technical team and ensure that our products continue to meet the highest standards.
We’ve grown our presence across the UK and beyond. Over the last few years we have moved to a new HQ, quadrupled our manufacturing capacity and achieved AA BRC accreditation. We’ve been at the forefront of innovation landing UK first to market concepts....but we’re not done yet. Behind our great products is a team of great people and we’re looking for the right team player to join our busy technical team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of the company Quality Management system.
• Continually improve processes and standards on site.
• Conduct regular food safety, quality and GMP audits
• Carry out and manage internal audit programme, liaising with all departments to ensure timely close out and route cause analysis of any non-conformances.
• Ensure all non-conformances are reported, logged and controlled at all times through the non-conformance and HOLD system.
• Log microbiological samples, swabs and water samples for external testing.
• Ensure that records are created and completed in full and in accordance to standard operating procedures.
• Assist in investigation of customer complaints.
• Make sure finished product and raw material specifications are correct and up to date.
• Assist in the day to day management of the supplier approval process.
• Provide training and support to all production and operational colleagues.
Key Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Quality Auditor, Quality Controller, or in a similar role within a food manufacturing factory.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and BRCGS requirements
• Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Food safety level 3 (desirable)
Schedule
• 2pm until 10pm (afternoon shift)
• Monday to Friday
