Job Title: Night Shift QA (Monday to Friday, 19:00 to 03:00)

At our Wisbech site, we have a team of 525 colleagues manufacturing premium chilled ready-to-cook meals for retailers like Sainsbury's, Aldi, and Co-op.

Role Overview

As a Night Shift Quality Assurance (QA) team member, you will verify that raw material preparation, manufacturing, and product storage/distribution comply with food safety, legal, and customer quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Sample, test, audit, and monitor processes and products to ensure safety and compliance
• Conduct verification checks on equipment calibration
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits and corrective actions
• Communicate quality assurance activities and trends with the operations team
• Collect samples following procedures to ensure product safety and legality
• Provide training to operational staff on quality standards
• Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with HSE policies
• Follow daily work schedules and escalate non-conformances promptly

Candidate Requirements

• GCSE or equivalent, with strong numeracy and literacy skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Health and Safety Level 2 and Food Hygiene Level 2 qualifications
• CCP training including HACCP principles
• Experience with internal audit processes
• Understanding of allergen awareness and GMP techniques
• Knowledge of non-conformance reporting, microbiological food safety, disinfection principles, legal labeling, and weight legislation
