Job description

Quality Auditor vacancy available in food manufacturing company based in Sandy.

Day shift. Shift pattern will be Mon - Fri, ideally 5:30 - 2pm or 6 - 2:30pm (½ hr unpaid break).

Duties:

  1. Audits of production environment to ensure hygiene and fabrication standards are met.
  2. Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) audits of process, people and work in process product.
  3. Carry out Internal audits against a defined schedule to ensure practice and procedure meet the clauses of the standard (BRC).
  4. Carry out checks on all physical, chemical and organoleptic properties of products produced.
  5. Daily verification of testing equipment to ensure correct function and arrange calibration against schedule.
  6. Sampling of product and swabbing of environment and equipment as required by schedule or identified issue.
  7. Auditing and completion of factory paperwork to ensure complete and legible records are available.
  8. Work in conjunction with department Supervisors to ensure a global effort to achieve company goals.

Skills:
  1. GCSE or equivalent standard; numerate and literate.
  2. Basic Computer literate for standard office practices.
  3. Food hygiene - level Two.
  4. CCP training including HACCP principles for Manufacturing Unit.
  5. Internal Audit Process; Understanding and Experience.
  6. Allergen Awareness; Understanding of risk.
  7. GMP; Knowledge of techniques.
  8. Non-conformance reporting techniques.
  9. Microbiological awareness - understanding of basics of food safety.

The role will be £26,000 to start with review after successful probation.
