About the role:
As aQuality Auditoryou’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf-life products where hygiene standards are critical
- Verify Quality checks through auditing
- Carry out checks as prescribed to verify that the Skilled Operative is following Quality Manual Procedure correctly.
- Data entry input and analysis of Quality checks. Assist in the production of quality reports and charts that utilise the collected data.
- To undertake audits as per scheduled, reporting non conformances and ensuring corrective action is completed.
- Organise microbiological and organoleptic sampling and report findings. Microbiological samples to be taken as per schedule.
- Implement changes requested by the Quality Manager.
- Raise any non conformance activity with Quality and Production Management.
- Highlight areas where Quality Manager needs to be involved.
- Ensure that any employee operating on a CCP activity is trained to do so and report any non-conformances.
- Maintenance of filing of record documents, and archiving.
- Whenever non conformances are highlighted ensure you support the responsible person ensuring that effective corrective action is implemented using one point lessons as training tools.
- Ensure procedures are implemented to provide a safe and legal product.
- Where trained to do so, train others to conduct CCP tasks.
- Carry out internal audits against the site Quality Manual, BRC standard and customer codes of practice.
- Compile and distribute shift reports and handovers, attend regular meetings with quality Manager and production
- To maintain standards and reinforce continuous improvement, e.g. area champions for GMP
- To be aware of, understand and adhere to the maintenance of good GMP.
- Conducting traceability exercises
- Investigating customer complaints
- Be an ambassador of the QA function raising the profile and being instrumental in achieving targets
- Take responsibility for departmental objectives and manage own time to successfully complete them.
- To support the QA manager during site audits
- The duties of the post and job description will be regularly reviewed by the QA Manager.

What you’ll need to be successful:
- A good level of English and basic numeracy skills
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
- Intermediate Food Safety Qualification or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Foudation L1 HACCP Qualification
- Internal auditing
- Basic Microbiology
- Allergen Awareness Training
- Basic Health and Safety Training
- Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
