A food manufacturing company in Sandy is seeking a Quality Auditor to ensure compliance with hygiene and fabrication standards. Qualifications

Job description

Quality Auditor vacancy available in food manufacturing company based in Sandy. Day shift, Monday to Friday, with a shift pattern of either 5:30am-2pm or 6am-2:30pm (with a 1-hour unpaid break).

This job is based in a production environment, not an office setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Audits of production environment to ensure hygiene and fabrication standards are met.
  • Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) audits of process, people, and work-in-process product.
  • Internal audits against a defined schedule to ensure practice and procedure meet the clauses of the standard (BRC).
  • Checks on all physical, chemical, and organoleptic properties of products produced.
  • Daily verification of testing equipment to ensure correct function and arrange calibration against schedule.
  • Sampling of product and swabbing of environment and equipment as required by schedule or identified issue.
  • Auditing and completion of factory paperwork to ensure complete and legible records are available.
  • Work in conjunction with department Supervisors to ensure a global effort to achieve company goals.
Requirements:
  • GCSE or equivalent standard; numerate and literate
  • Basic Computer literate for standard office practices
  • Food hygiene - level Two
  • CCP training including HACCP principles for Manufacturing Unit
  • Internal Audit Process; Understanding and Experience
  • Allergen Awareness; Understanding of risk
  • GMP; Knowledge of techniques
  • Non-conformance reporting techniques
  • Microbiological awareness understanding of basic food safety
