We have an exciting opportunity in the Superintendent Pharmacist's Office team for a Quality & Audit Specialist.
You will contribute quality expertise to a range of existing and innovative initiatives within the Company, working alongside external partners and Boots colleagues as you conduct audits and quality assurance visits in Boots stores.
This is a field-based role with a requirement for UK-wide travel. A full UK driving licence is required. This is 12-month secondment.
About the role
Healthcare service offerings are expanding within Boots UK and across community pharmacy. Providers expect a Quality Management System and a dedicated Quality Team to be in place for opportunities such as testing & diagnostic services, research studies and clinical trials. Certain contracts stipulate a requirement for role holders with specific Quality expertise and auditing accountabilities.
The field-based Quality & Audit Specialist role is key in supporting the Quality Manager with auditing Boots UK stores that deliver relevant clinical services, trials, studies and continual improvement initiatives. The role holder works to identify any shortfall in quality and compliance standards, so that these may be addressed appropriately and with expediency, to reassure internal stakeholders and external partners of Boots UK's capability, capacity and commitment to the successful delivery of such initiatives that are future-facing, reputation-enhancing and end-user focused.
This role would suit someone with the passion, confidence and credibility to coach store teams to continually improve standards and enhance patient care.
What you'll need to have
• Experienced pharmacy technician or quality professional with a robust understanding of good governance and audit
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
• Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management
• Excellent coaching skills and passion for supporting and developing others
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to adapt and to be flexible to meet the demands of the business with pace
• Good organisational skills to be able to manage a varied and demanding workload
• Self-motivated with experience of setting and delivering to deadlines
• Intermediate computer skills and the ability to adopt or contribute to the digital transformation agenda
• Demonstrable commitment to ongoing personal improvement and WBA/Boots UK core values
It would be great if you also have
• Project management experience (desirable)
