Job Description:

QA Technologist - Food Industry Experience ESSENTIAL

Location: Manchester

As a QA Technologist, you will work closely with the QA Supervisor and QA Technician to ensure all products meet company and customer quality standards across raw materials, manufacturing, and packaging processes. You will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with industry standards such as BRC, CLAS, HACCP, and customer-specific codes of practice.

While daily tasks can vary, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Monitoring and managing non-conforming products via ‘on hold’ procedures.
  2. Performing quality checks on raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
  3. Maintaining documentation for traceability and quality control.
  4. Participating in internal audits and supporting external audit readiness.
  5. Investigating customer complaints and implementing corrective actions.
  6. Supporting technicians on shift, conducting team briefings, and CCP training.
  7. Generating Certificates of Analysis and managing environmental microbiological data.
