Qualifications

• Experience in Traffic management is essential. Preferably RASWA Unit 2 + 10.
• Good knowledge of standard site set ups including all relevant Signing, Lighting and Guarding needed.
• Good communication skills – Both written and verbal.
• Street works knowledge preferable.
• IT Literate – Word, Excel, Power Point.
• Full UK Driving License.

Responsibilities

• Conduct live site auditing in Barnsley and Rotherham area.
• Rectify sites to reduce failures and coach teams.
• Inspecting all works physically on site and liaising with Highway Inspectors.

This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

Key Responsibilities

As our Quality Assurance Technician, you’ll be instrumental in our WSP team who are responsible for delivering Repair & Maintenance and Metering for the AMP7 framework. The contract involves the 24/7 emergency repair work on behalf of Yorkshire Water on their clean water distribution network and the installation and exchange of domestic and business meters. Your remit will involve 3 key areas:

• Live site auditing in mainly the Barnsley and Rotherham area’s to ensure compliance with streetworks legislation
• Rectifying sites to reduce site failures and on site coaching with teams to improve site set ups in the first instance and capturing progress

We’re really keen to bring in someone who is capable and confident to challenge poor workmanship with direct labour and subcontractors. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be part of our WSP team who are responsible for delivering Repair & Maintenance and Metering for the AMP7 framework.

You’re not the type to shy away from responsibility. In this role, you will be inspecting all works physically on site, liaising with Highway Inspectors and teams. The role isn’t for someone who is afraid to communicate issues to Site Managers and clients.
