Quality Assurance Technician, IN Payments, Use Cases - Tech

Merchant category team at Amazon India Development Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of Merchant category products such as flights, hotels, movies, bus, trains, auto & bike insurance booking platforms by creating, maintaining, and executing test plans, identifying defects, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for creating manual test scripts, executing tests, analyzing results, and collaborating with development teams to ensure the delivery of defect-free services.

Key job responsibilities

1. Execute test cases prepared for testing software builds
2. Perform test case execution and report bugs accurately
3. Understand testing procedures and guidelines for new releases
4. Perform regression and repetitive testing exercises to qualify builds without compromising on quality
5. Be comfortable with capturing results, communicating and escalating failures, and providing individual status reports
6. Raise all failures/doubts related to the execution of test cases in the clarification portal and close them as per the SLAs
7. Scripting in languages such as Java or Python is a plus

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- High level of energy and proactive nature. A sense of ownership and drive, along with a willingness to accept the challenge of daily deadlines, is essential.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of API testing and web services
