Shift: 06:00-18:00- continental shift, working 7 shifts over a 14 day period

Salary: £31,745.02

Becketts Foods is a leading food processing company, operating in the CV2 area of Coventry since 1983. We are now recruiting additional colleagues to join our team and are proud to offer staff stability and a long-term future working for a thriving business.

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician (QA) to join our technical team. You will be joining a team of three on shift supporting both our gammon and bacon production factories.

Role Purpose As Our New QA

The successful candidate will audit and monitor activities, including operational compliance with legislation, customer requirements, accreditation, and internal process standards for food hygiene and process specifications. They will ensure good manufacturing practice (GMP) is adhered to and operational improvement opportunities are identified, evaluated, developed, and delivered.

Role Responsibilities Will Include:

1. Internal auditing
2. Investigating customer complaints to identify the root cause.
3. Surveillance testing and sampling, such as ATP & environmental swabbing, product samples, water, and microbiological sampling.
4. Proactively managing internal non-conformances to a successful conclusion.
5. Calibration verification of key equipment used in the QMS, such as temperature probes, scales, and salt analysis.
6. Providing training and support where required.
7. Creating engagement in food safety culture.

Skills And Experience Required:

1. Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety.
2. Working knowledge of computer systems such as Word, Excel, email, PowerPoint, and databases.
3. Experience of working within a food-based manufacturing industry preferred.
4. Experience of working to food accreditation standards and customer codes of practice preferred.
5. Internal auditor certification would be beneficial.
6. Experience of working with diverse teams.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. Problem-solving skills.
9. Experienced in conflict management.
10. Calm under pressure.
11. Ability to self-learn.
12. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
