Job description

The ideal candidate is proactive and detail-oriented, with experience in a GMP-regulated environment. With strong problem-solving skills, they can confidently review deviations, complaints, and CAPAs, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement. They are an effective leader who can motivate and develop a team while fostering a strong ‘quality-first’ mindset.

This 6 month fixed term contract is a full-time, onsite role, based at our Innovation Centre in Aylesbury. You’ll be leading a team of 3 Quality Assurance Operatives, working hands-on in a dynamic environment where collaboration, expertise, and a shared passion for excellence drive real impact.

In more detail your role will include:

  • Leadingand managing a team of Quality Assurance Operatives, providing coaching, development, and day-to-day support.
  • Ensuring compliance by reviewing batch documentation against written instructions.
  • Reviewing, investigating, and approving minor deviations and complaints for closure, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Reviewing, tracking, and approving CAPAs to ensure corrective and preventive actions are followed through to completion.
  • Overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring documentation (SOPs/WIs) is reviewed and implemented effectively.
  • Maintaining high standards by monitoring hygiene, quality, and product safety on a daily basis.
  • Identifying and reporting issues, supporting investigations into deviations and complaints.
  • Driving operational improvements through ad hoc projects that enhance production and logistics processes.


Requirements:

  • Have solid experience in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of GMP in an operational environment.
  • Have experience working with QMS systems, deviations and CAPAs.
  • Strong people skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced operational environment and can meet deadlines.
  • Think methodically and make clear, informed decisions.
  • Have a can-do attitude and can motivate your team.
  • Take pride in your work, with excellent attention to detail.
