Quality Assurance Team Coordinator - 6 month FTC, United Kingdom

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading palliative and end-of-life care charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of palliative and end-of-life care in the UK, and the only provider across all four nations. We specialise in UK-wide community nursing and hospice care, both inpatient and outpatient, and provide information and support on all aspects of terminal illness, dying, death, and bereavement.

Our research advances understanding of good end-of-life care, and our campaigns advocate for a world where everyone receives the best possible quality of life while living with a terminal illness. Currently, we reach only about 10% of those at the end of life, as one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness do not receive adequate care or support.

We are recruiting a Quality Assurance Team Coordinator to join our Nursing & Quality team on a 6-month FTC basis. This role can be hybrid from our London office (1-2 days a week) or remote across the UK. The ideal candidate should be able to start quickly.

Role Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Team Coordinator, you will support activities across the Nursing and Quality team, ensuring good governance and providing organizational intelligence for improvement and learning. You will assist in planning and evidencing a trained and competent workforce to ensure safe, high-quality, and clinically effective care, enhancing patient and carer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collate and upload data from various sources (benchmarking, audits, complaints, incidents, safety, and compliance data).
  2. Assist in writing reports and documents to assure quality of care for internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Support clinical teams with quality activities, incident record-keeping, data analysis, and information gathering.
  4. Manage and disseminate relevant information and records.
  5. Support workload of senior staff, including committee secretarial duties and database administration.
  6. Maintain the Nursing and Quality SharePoint site and support administrative duties such as meetings, training, and travel arrangements.
  7. Build good working relationships within the Nursing and Quality Directorate and other teams.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong relationship-building skills and a team-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good time management, ability to prioritize, and work under pressure.
  • Experience in office administration and working with IT databases and systems, including Microsoft Office.

Benefits:

  • Salary: £25,600 - £28,444 per annum
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Season ticket loan, bike, computer, and satellite navigation schemes
  • Industry-leading training programs
  • Employee Assistance Programme

Application Timeline:

  • Advert Closes: 13 August 2024
  • Interviews: 22 August 2024
