Job summary

Sciensus is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist (Aseptic Compounding) in Burton upon Trent to join a brand-new unit for 6 or 12 month FTC. You will ensure quality from day one, support regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across clinical fulfilment.

The role involves batch review, GMP-aligned QA processes, and cross-functional collaboration with production, pharmacy, and quality teams. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, adaptable, and patient-safety focused.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Quality Assurance role within a pharmaceutical or septic compounding environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of GMP requirements.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end QA responsibilities, including batch review and release of aseptically compounded products.
  • Support development and maintenance of the Quality Management System ensuring GMP compliance.
  • Lead and coordinate deviations, CAPAs, change control, complaints, and audits.

Quality Assurance Specialist (Aseptic Compounding)

We haveexciting opportunities for Quality Assurance Specialists to join us on either a6-month or 12-month FTC, supporting the mobilisation and build of a newcompounding unit. These roles are critical in ensuring our quality standardsare embedded from day one, helping us deliver safe, effective medicines topatients while maintaining the highest regulatory compliance.

You’llplay a key role in shaping quality processes, supporting operational readiness,and driving excellence across all aspects of clinical fulfilment.

What you’ll be doing
  • - Undertaking end-to-end QAresponsibilities, including batch review and release of asepticallycompounded products
  • - Supporting the developmentand maintenance of the Quality Management System ensuring full GMPcompliance
  • - Leading and coordinatingactivities related to deviations, CAPAs, change control, complaints, andaudits
  • - Collaborating withproduction, pharmacy, and quality teams to ensure safe, efficientoperations
  • - Monitoring environmental andprocess data to maintain validated facility standards
  • - Supporting training deliveryto ensure teams are fully competent and compliant
  • - Driving continuousimprovement, identifying opportunities to enhance quality, reduce waste,and optimise processes
  • - Participating in audits andinspections, ensuring readiness and timely follow-up

Qualifications:

  • - Qualified PharmacyTechnician (NVQ 3/BTEC) registered with GPhC, orDegree in Pharmacy, Biology,or Chemistry
