As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures, ensuring all quality documentation is completed satisfactorily, including auto coding, while always complying with company operating requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure implementation of food safety and quality policies and procedures
  • Carry out daily GMP audits, including spice room, glass audits, personal hygiene audits, finished product audits, temperature audits, internal audits, and production paperwork audits such as gases, weights, metal detection, and Foss
  • Collect and prepare samples for taste panels
  • Conduct taste panels as per customer requirements and trend results daily
  • Conduct DNA audits, including Si entry against label verification records and mass balances
  • Train production supervisors on metal detection, gas and weight checking, and Foss operation
  • Maintain and update glass and hard plastics logs
  • Perform weekly calibration of scales and temperature probes
  • Take weekly hand swabs, daily species swabs, allergen washdowns, and start-of-production ATP swabs
  • Conduct and record random daily checks at various stages, including raw materials to finished product, catch weight, fixed weight, CCPs, and auto coding
  • Investigate customer complaints and report root causes to management, ensuring corrective actions are documented and implemented
  • Find product information for DNA traces
  • Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling, and allergen handling processes
  • Assist in customer complaint investigations and internal audits
  • Collect and log micro samples as required
  • Monitor pest control trapping weekly, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain consistent attendance and provide flexibility to meet operational needs
  • Communicate proactively and supportively with team members, supervisors, and managers

Knowledge and Experience

Experience in a customer-oriented, fast-paced environment is essential, along with knowledge of the food industry and quality assurance principles.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, organized, set a good example, and possess excellent communication skills.
