Our extensive direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network, comprising 17 depots nationwide, enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce, as well as that of third parties. Here at Bow, we have a team of around 800 colleagues producing sandwiches, wraps, platters, sub rolls, and salads for some of the biggest retailers in the UK, including Sainsbury\'s, Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, and BP Wild Bean Café.

What you\'ll be doing

1. Shift: 4 On - 4 Off nights, 5pm - 5am
2. As Quality Manager, your role will be to lead and coordinate the work of the quality assurance teams to deliver and implement service improvements in line with operational needs concerning safety, quality, legality, and customer requirements.
3. Direct the team to deliver the quality management system, including the internal audit plan, to ensure compliance with customer, manufacturing, legislative, divisional, and strategic requirements.
4. Provide information and demonstrate operational practices to support external audits for compliance with customer requirements.
5. Continue developing the capability of the Quality Assurance team through the technical strategy.
6. Monitor departmental KPIs and adjust team activities to meet targets.
7. Plan and maintain resource utilization to execute quality assurance tasks effectively.
8. Lead and deliver projects to improve business effectiveness and cost efficiency.
9. Build production capability to meet technical requirements.
10. Ensure a safe working environment for all colleagues, meeting standards set out in the Health, Safety, and Environment Policy.

• Educated to degree level with a Food specialism or equivalent qualification, or relevant work experience.
• Previous internal audit experience.
• Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate level 3 and level 3 Health and Safety.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in computer programs including Word, Excel, and related IT packages.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and practices.
• Awareness of allergen implications, labelling, and nutritional information.
• Experience with shelf-life determination and hygiene/disinfection principles.
• Basic micro-awareness.
• Understanding of risk assessment principles.
• Knowledge of legal labelling requirements.
• Basic knowledge of weight legislation.
• Understanding of technical KPIs.
