Astute’s Power Team is with a leading EPC company to recruit a Quality Assurance Manager working from the site in East London.
The Quality Assurance Manager role comes with a salary of up to £75,000 + £6,000 car allowance + private medical + bonus.

Responsibilities and duties of the Quality Assurance Manager role

As the QA Manager you will:

  1. Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry best practices.
  2. Oversee quality assurance and control across all project phases, from design to commissioning.
  3. Conduct internal audits, inspections, and reviews to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  4. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to maintain quality standards.
  5. Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality performance.
  6. Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  7. Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and third-party inspectors to ensure project quality compliance.
  8. Train and mentor project staff on quality management systems (QMS) and best practices.
  9. Maintain detailed quality documentation and records for audits and project handover.
  10. Support risk management efforts, ensuring quality risks are identified and mitigated.
Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  1. Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years working in a similar role on EPC projects.
  3. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, construction quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  4. Experience with quality audits, NCR management and root cause analysis.
