Job description

We're looking for a dedicated and passionate QA Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the execution and quality of field campaigns within a designated geographical area. Acting as a key point of contact for store and site visits to client retailers, you will coach and assess N2O contractors (e.g. Brand Ambassadors), maintain standards across live activations, liaise with store or site staff, and support the upkeep of N2O site equipment and storage areas.

Who are N2O?

N2O is an award-winning creative brand experience agency and part of GLOBE GROUPE, the leading European shopper house dedicated to brand marketing. We create physical and digital events that make fans for brands, wherever they are. Working in partnership with our clients, we use insight-led creative and brand experiences to engage with the right people and change what they think, feel and do. We apply 20 years of marketing experience to successfully deliver our clients’ requirements, across sectors including FMCG, health and beauty, luxury goods, retail and technology. Our clients include household names such as Tesco, Coca-Cola and Superdrug.

Essential Accountabilities:

  • Conduct regular quality assurance visits to stores and activation sites to assess execution, campaign standards, and contractor performance.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and support to contractors such as Brand Ambassadors to ensure campaign compliance and excellence in delivery.
  • Liaise with store staff and site contacts to support strong relationships and smooth campaign execution.
  • Monitor and maintain N2O site equipment and storage areas within your region.
  • Oversee the delivery of live activities at selected high-profile events across the UK, stepping into key delivery roles (e.g., Event Manager) when necessary.
  • Gather and evaluate data on contractor performance, equipment usage, and site visits to provide actionable feedback to internal teams, including Talent Management.
  • Work with internal departments to address contractor issues, report incidents, and conduct campaign audits and quality reviews.
  • Support contractor briefings (online and in-person), helping to ensure they are fully prepared and aligned to client expectations.
  • Deliver and/or support the development of briefing materials, multimedia aids, and client-facing presentations.
  • Support the recruitment and selection of Event Managers, Brand Ambassadors, and Quality Assurance staff in your area.
  • Provide cover for the Quality Assurance Manager during periods of leave or absence.

This is a fixed term role on a part time basis (0.8FTE). You will report directly to a Senior Quality Assurance Manager, who will support you with visit prioritisation and operational oversight. While this is a home-based position, it requires frequent travel within your allocated area (Stevenage, Royston, Watford, Amersham & Aylesbury) and may occasionally involve national travel and overnight stays. The core working pattern is four days per week, including Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays with flexibility for extended hours as required.

  • Demonstrable experience in coaching, mentoring, and supporting field-based teams to improve performance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to groups and writing reports.
  • Background in a Quality Assurance, Training, Event Management, or Retail Sales role.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities across varied projects.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with contractors, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Confident delivering briefings through multiple formats (online, in person, video).
  • High level of IT literacy including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internal reporting systems, and mobile technologies.
  • Familiar with social media platforms, digital photo tools, and general tech used in field activations.
  • Self-motivated, solutions-focused, and proactive.
  • Full UK driving licence and appropriate insurance for business use of a personal vehicle.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene, basic understanding of Health & Safety, Challenge 25, and GDPR.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Salary £30k to £32k (FTE) gross per annum DOE (Actual Salary: £24,000 to £25,600 per annum)
  • Home-based with frequent travel to retailers
  • 23 days annual leave (FTE) plus bank holidays
  • Retail discounts scheme
  • Employee Assist Programme
  • Season ticket loan
  • Head office location has multiple perks including on site gym, free breakfasts, and onsite cafe
