Energis is currently recruiting an experienced Quality Assurance Manager for our food manufacturing client based in South Down.

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will manage the Quality and Food Safety System, its practices, and implementation throughout the facility, with a primary focus on product quality and safety through operational processes.

Applications will also be considered from more junior candidates coming from a food / FMCG background.

Responsibilities:

• Own, maintain, and improve the certified quality management system
• Lead the QA team, defining control plans, tasks, and activities
• Implement, maintain, and follow up on the Quality Systems and HACCP
• Participate as an audit team member for all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party audits on site (Corporate, Customers, BRC)
• Develop SOPs, quality policies, and procedures to BRC standards
• Lead and coordinate the work of various HACCP teams, ensuring consistent documentation of HACCP studies
• Monitor incoming ingredients to ensure they come from approved suppliers
• Create, develop, and maintain effective relationships with customers, liaising with them on Quality Assurance requirements
• Provide regular quality improvement reports to management to identify quality issues and non-conformances
• Train and motivate staff on health and safety procedures and safety protocols on an ongoing basis

Criteria:

• Third-level qualification or a minimum of 3 years' successful experience in FMCG
• Strong understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
