Quality Assurance Manager

Are you an experienced Technical Manager / QA Manager looking for your next challenge working with fresh produce? We have an exciting opportunity to join a leading retailer / Food manufacturer, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring food safety, quality, and compliance within the packing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure food safety, legality, quality, and integrity for all customers and brands, maintaining compliance with legal, BRC, and MMS standards.
2. Lead investigations into adverse microbiological results and implement corrective actions.
3. Oversee and manage product information via the M-Create portal.
4. Take ownership of the site HACCP Plan, ensuring it remains effective and up to date.
5. Provide expert technical and compliance advice to colleagues.
6. Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific technical policies and procedures.
7. Manage site trends and risks, ensuring proactive intervention.
8. Support site accreditations and maintain compliance standards.
9. Oversee internal audits, process validations, and document control systems.
10. Collate and analyse site data for weekly, monthly, and yearly reporting.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Relevant experience or a degree in Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business.
2. Previous experience in high-risk food environments or fresh produce manufacturing.
3. Strong analytical skills and decision-making ability.
4. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
5. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a team.
