Job description

Working Hours: 8:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday, 8:00 to 13:00 Friday

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join an established engineering business in Tewkesbury.

The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee all quality assurance functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves working closely with production, engineering, and third parties to maintain and improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 13485.
  2. Ensure technical documentation conforms with audit requirements.
  3. Manage documentation and reporting for non-conformances (NCR), deviations, and complaints.
  4. Act as the first point of contact for all quality issues, maintaining high customer service standards.
  5. Oversee and manage CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues and providing feedback to production and engineering teams.
  6. Lead internal and external audits, working with third parties to ensure compliance.
  7. Serve as the primary contact with regulatory authorities for quality-related matters and during annual audits.
  8. Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, reporting findings to Directors and Senior Management.
  9. Oversee supplier quality assurance, maintaining high standards for subcontractors and processes.
  10. Ensure day-to-day health and safety of the premises, providing a safe working environment for all team members.

Experience Required:

  1. Previous experience in Quality Management/Quality Assurance Management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (Essential).
  2. Knowledge of ISO 13485 (Desirable).
  3. Experience working with regulatory bodies.
  4. Hands-on problem-solving skills focused on efficiency and quality.
  5. Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite), with experience of Sage 200 being advantageous.
