Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking a Quality Manager with a civil engineering background to join the construction division of our client’s business in the Northwest, predominantly Lancashire. The role focuses on ownership of quality assurance across multiple sites, driving continuous improvement and ensuring ISO 9001 standards are met.

You will lead a team of Quality Advisors, support internal and external audits, and collaborate with clients and suppliers to uphold high quality throughout delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading quality assurance across civil engineering/infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and maintain ISO 9001 compliance.
• Experience leading a team of quality professionals and coordinating audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance activities across construction projects, conduct audits, drive corrective actions and ensure quality requirements are met.
• Review key documentation, monitor performance trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage and develop a team of Quality Advisors, support audits, engage with clients and supply chain partners, foster a culture of quality.

Our client is a growing UK infrastructure and civil engineering contractor delivering projects within the highways, utilities, water and wastewater sectors. They are looking for a Quality Manager with a civil engineering background to join the construction division of the business.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to take ownership of quality assurance activities across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. You'll play a key role in driving continuous improvement, maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 standards, supporting project delivery teams, and leading a team of Quality Advisors to ensure quality requirements are consistently achieved across multiple sites within the Northwest, predominantly in Lancashire.

Your Day-to-Day

You’ll lead quality assurance activities across construction projects, conducting audits, supporting project teams, driving corrective actions and ensuring quality requirements are met throughout delivery. You'll review key documentation, monitor performance trends and identify opportunities for improvement.

You’ll also manage and develop a team of Quality Advisors, support internal and external audits, engage with clients and supply chain partners, and help drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the business
