Quality Assurance Manager – Civil Engineering

Are you passionate about driving quality and raising standards in the utilities and construction sector? This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring excellence across major gas infrastructure projects.

You’ll be the go-to expert for all things quality, shaping how projects are delivered, making sure every detail meets client expectations, and championing a culture of continuous improvement across site teams. If you thrive on attention to detail, influencing stakeholders, and ensuring projects meet the highest technical and regulatory standards, this role will keep you engaged and challenged.

Responsibilities
  • Leading QA efforts across multiple projects – developing and rolling out project-specific quality plans.
  • Making sure everything is compliant – from ISO 9001 and CDM regulations to National Gas standards.
  • Carrying out site inspections and audits, identifying issues early, and driving swift resolutions.
  • Maintaining clear, accurate quality records and preparing handover documentation packs.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for all quality-related matters with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Promoting continuous improvement – delivering training, coaching teams, and embedding a culture of quality.
  • Ensuring every project is handover-ready and meets all client expectations.
Qualifications
  • A background in construction, engineering, or utilities (ideally with gas infrastructure experience).
  • Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 (with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 exposure being a bonus).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills – able to influence at all levels.
  • Confidence with quality management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
What’s in it for you?
  • Salary up to £48k (depending on experience)
  • Pension scheme
  • Health and wellbeing support
  • Ongoing training and clear opportunities for career progression

This is your chance to take ownership of quality across high-profile gas projects and make a real impact in a sector that powers the UK. If you’re ready to bring your expertise, eye for detail, and leadership to the table – we’d love to hear from you.
