Job summary

Cardiff Council's Social Services department is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the development and implementation of a Quality Assurance and Audit Strategy for Children and Adult Services, and to establish robust QA processes across the Directorate.

You will work with social workers, team managers and practitioners to promote continuous development, drive policy and practice improvements, and ensure services meet the highest standards of safeguarding and public protection.

  • Ability to exercise leadership with managers and practitioners.

As Quality Assurance Manager you will join a committed team, dedicated to providing care and support to the Citizens of Cardiff.

This role will suit an experienced social worker who believes in the value of social work and who thrives on continuous development and service improvement.

What We Are Looking For From You

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience of managing others
  • Ability to exercise a leadership and challenge function with team managers and social work practitioners.
  • Ability to identify areas for policy and practice improvement and lead on their implementation

You will work closely with the teams to disseminate good practice across the workforce and raise expectations that the work we do will be of the highest standard.
